NORTHEAST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Youth Leaders
We care about kids and have volunteers who work directly with middle school and high school teens. Children’s programming is supervised by an Education Committee who plans and oversees the educational and special events for kids 4 years through 5th grade.

Young Children's Ministry
We offer an infant nursery and Toddler Time Zone for kids through age 3. For children age 4 through 5th grade, we offer a Children's worship service on Sunday mornings called The Bright Life. We use puppets, plays, video, character routines, and live instruction to teach God's word. Elementary aged children can participate in Sunday School, WednesdayNightLive! and Vacation Bible School. We also have seasonal events during Easter and Christmas, including Easter egg hunts and Christmas parties.

The Spot (the Youth Ministry of NEPC)
High School and Middle School students are important to God. Of course, God loves all people. However, in many cultures young people are overlooked and not highly valued. This is not true at the spot. We believe God knows the potential in every young person and has a plan for each of their lives. We also believe that the teenage years are a crucial time of decision-making. Many major life decisions are made during these formative years. Career, school and relationship choices are just a few of those decisions being made. We believe an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ is essential for making right decisions. We offer many opportunities throughout the week and the year for teenagers to deepen their relationship with Christ. Some of these opportunities include Bible Studies, Worship service, fellowship gatherings, ski trips, mission trips, summer camps and more.

Let’s face it. There’s a lot of stuff we don’t like in our world. Maybe even in our own life. Change is possible. the spot believes change begins with each of us. Making a choice to turn away from the destructive forces of selfishness, immorality, alcohol and drugs, prejudice and so many other things that steal away our future. But more than that, it's turning our hearts toward God and His Son, Jesus Christ, allowing God’s Word to guide us each step of the amazing journey He has for us all.

//thespot.experience
Tons of teenagers gather every Wednesday night to experience a diverse blend of both activity and meaningful worship. From the Internet stations to the table wired with iPod MP3 players, or the Video Game room to the spot Cafe, you won’t be looking long for “something to do.” Then immerse yourself in one of the spot’s two incredible student services packed with great music and worship.

//thespot.everyone
The spot is for you, Middle School or High School. Black or White. Male or Female. Maybe you’re not really into the “church” thing. That’s OK, too. Just come and check it out. the spot is unique. We believe in keeping the Ten Commandments but breaking most of the other traditional rules associated with church. We’re committed to meeting the individual needs of every student, exactly where they are.

Join us for any or all of the spot activities throughout the week.
